Xander is a young, coal black, 13-pound purebred male miniature poodle. But don't let his exceptional good looks and snazzy wardrobe fool you -- Xander's all boy and he can't wait to meet his furever family. He has transformed from a frightened, mistrustful, heartworm-positive dog, to a confident, happy, healthy boy who knows how to play quietly with his special toys or romp and run with his friends. He is housebroken and he has learned to sit and shake. Xander is fully vetted and is current on his heartworm and flea and tick preventatives. Xander seems fine with other dogs, but he hasn't been exposed to cats or children while he's been in foster care. He does very well in an adult home. Xander would love to have a fenced back yard so he could teach his family how to "fetch," but he is strictly an indoor dog whose favorite pasttimes are cuddling with his people on the couch and watching the world go by out his special window. He walks well on a leash and looks forward to showing off his very own family in his new neighborhood.
