couresty post Hey, my name is Libby and I would like to ask you for a favor......a few minutes of your time. Would you take time to look at me, I mean really look at me----dont look at my black fur, but instead really look into my eyes.. What do you see? Can I tell you what I would like for you to see? I hope and pray someone will see a sweet little girl who wants a real home more than anything in the whole world. A sweet girl who longs for someone to stroke her fur and tell her she is good and deserves love. I hope someone will see a precious heart that has been broken far too many times, but still forgives. Maybe someone will see a friend that would love them more than anything. You see, I am all those things and more, much more. I have never had a real home, but my foster mom says I am wonderful. My daughter Tess was adopted right away, being the cute little puppy. I took care of her as best I could and was a good mother. We just had each other for awhile but I am glad her life has been better than mine. The other rescue like me, a spitz mix but white, had a waiting list of 16 people. It hurts my foster moms heart that no one seems to want to give me a chance. Im just like the other spitz, only black. I am as sweet as Tess, only older. I am a wonderful girl and I am only 2 years old. I am not too big or too little- I weigh a nice 30 lbs. I adore children and big people too. They keep telling me to hang in there, that it is because I am a black dog and everybody knows we dont get adopted first. That makes me sad. I am so much more than a fur color- I have a sweet personality, a little strut to my step that everyone thinks is adorable, I have feelings and a need to be loved and have my own home. I have been spayed and had all my vaccines. I am also heartworm negative and on prevention. I have a special way about me, a gentle spirit. If you think you can look past the outside and give me a chance, you will be glad you did. Meanwhile, I'll just be waiting for that chance and hoping it will be soon. Oh how I want to be loved and get belly rubs and cookies!!
